Marine logistics Limited was formed in 1997 by Bob Humphrey & Richard Hunt, who have over 50 years experience between
them in marine spares and parts purchasing.
Although based in the UK they undertood the huge benefits they could offer their customers pf purchasing
on a worldwide basis by finding the most competitive source,
wherever that may be.
They also saw that most suppliers only
deal with relatively local markets and felt that there was
a need for a company that would search all possible sources
on behalf of their clients, so the concept of Marine Logistics
Limited was established.
Initially we concentrated on Oil Rig Supply Boats & Tugs,
but we now supply to almost all types of shipping, machinery or industrial sector.
Recommendations to customers in other industries with
similar requirements have led to a wider range of clients
and we have added extra staff with experience in different
fields, for instance electrical and diesel engines, to handle
these.
We believe in personal service and each customer has a dedicated
sales contact, who has access to our state-of-the-art computerised
Purchasing System to search all markets throughout the world. Our powerful network of local agents - our eyes and ears onthe ground, enable us to access markets more quickly, source better quality parts and spares sooner and ship without delay.
By using major freight and courier companies, we then arranged
for delivery via our main warehouse in the UK, sub warehouses
in USA & Germany, or direct to the client from source depending on
the circumstances. In all cases, we advise customers full
dispatch details and monitor their shipments until they are
received.
We believe that our philosophy of truly International Purchasing,
coupled with the best customer service, is unique to our industry.
